ITT is guided by an active and engaged board of directors. The nine independent directors who form our board, along with ITT CEO Steve Loranger, bring a wealth of relevant experience, intelligent counsel and strong passion to their vital roles.
Steven R. Loranger
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, ITT Corporation
Steve was chosen to lead ITT in 2004. He brings extensive multi-industry leadership experience to the role and has led ITT through four consecutive years of record growth. A former U.S. Navy pilot, he currently sits on the board of FedEx Corporation.
Curtis J. Crawford
President and Chief Executive Officer, XCEO, Inc.
An ITT director since 1996, Dr. Crawford led photonics and semiconductor businesses before founding XCEO. He is the author of two books on leadership and corporate governance, and currently serves on the boards of DuPont, ON Semiconductor and Agilysys.
Christina A. Gold
Former Chief Executive Officer, The Western Union Company
An ITT director since 1997, Mrs. Gold brings to the board a broad range of financial, communications and consumer experience and expertise. She currently serves on the board of New York Life Insurance Company.
Ralph F. Hake
Former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Maytag Corporation
An ITT director since 2002, Mr. Hake has considerable experience as chief executive officer and chief financial officer of Fortune 500 companies, enabling him to provide significant contributions to ITT. He currently serves on the board of Owens-Corning.
John J. Hamre, Ph.D.
President and Chief Executive Officer, Center for Strategic & International Studies
An ITT director since 2000, Dr. Hamre leads one of the world's preeminent international policy institutions and formerly served as U.S. Deputy Director of Defense. He currently serves on the boards of MITRE, Oshkosh and SAIC.
Paul J. Kern
Senior Counselor, The Cohen Group
An ITT director since 2008, retired U.S. Army General Kern brings 40 years of military experience to his board position and has served as Senior Counselor to the Cohen Group since January 2005. He also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of AM General LLC from August 2008 until January 2010, after retiring from the United States Army as Commanding General, Army Materiel Command (AMC). In that post and earlier as Commander of the 4th Infantry Division, General Kern led the Army’s drive to digitize and transform the service’s battlefield capability. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of CoVant Technologies LLC, and AT Solutions, a subsidiary of CoVant Technologies.
Frank T. MacInnis
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, EMCOR Group, Inc.
An ITT director since 2001, Mr. MacInnis brings to the board more than 25 years of international experience and a global perspective gained through his role as leader of EMCOR Group. He currently serves on the boards of The Williams Companies, ComNet Communications and the Greater New York Chapter of the March of Dimes.
Surya N. Mohapatra
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Quest Diagnostics Incorporated
An ITT director since early 2008, Dr. Mohapatra earned an electrical engineering degree in India, master's and doctorate degrees in England, and now leads U.S.-based Quest Diagnostics. His international perspective complements ITT's board and helps the company continue executing its global growth strategies.
Linda S. Sanford
Senior Vice President, Enterprise Transformation, IBM
An ITT director since 1998, Ms. Sanford is widely recognized as one of the technology industry's top leaders. A member of the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame, she is helping ITT advance its innovation and engineering efforts. Ms. Sanford currently serves on the boards of the Partnership for New York City and the Business Council of New York State.
Markos I. Tambakeras
Former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Kennametal, Inc.
An ITT director since 2001, Mr. Tambakeras has extensive experience in leading global engineering and manufacturing businesses—similar in scope to ITT—including Kennametal and the Industrial Controls Business of Honeywell. He currently serves on the board of Parker-Hannifin and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Arizona State University.
